Historically, myrrh has been used as a traditional remedy in the Middle East to treat injuries and infections. It has also been used in Ayurvedic Medicine (for pharyngitis, gingivitis, can-ker sores) and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Commission E and ESCOP recognize its use for treating inflammation of the oral cavity and the mucosa of the pharynx.

Finally, black cherry, which has been traditionally used as an expectorant with relaxing and soothing properties, completes this combination of medicinal ingredients selected by Léo Désilets Maître Herboriste for the formulation of Nun’s Special Syrup.
