Sampalan, has a number of offshore snorkeling spots (we tried it from near Ped). You can only really do

it at high tide and it is a good idea to get a local to point the way out as the seaweed farms can be a

formidable barrier (or rather, maze). Once you're out there, you'll find a good reef and lots of fish. Try

not to get stranded out here when the tide sinks, as getting back in can be a real nightmare.

KARANG DAWA

The scenery in this rugged and totally natural place will take yourbreath away, a photographers delight. In the area you can visit the‘Car temple’. See the grey macaque monkeys and enjoy true tranquilityon the cliff tops of this wild and wonderful part of the island.

MANTA POINT

The geographical highlights include limestone caves, spectacular high coastal cliffs with karst formations and offshore pinnacles in the south and east, and rugged hill tops in the high center. Nusa Penida has several interesting Hindu temples. When visiting be respectful and always heed local advice. Amazing waterfall view from on the top of rugged cliffs.

SEBULUH WATERFALL

The most spectacular vistas on Nusa Penida are perhaps to be admired at Banah Point, on the southwest coast.At Banah point, one regularly observes quite a number of birds of prey, such as the Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) and the majestic White-bellied Fish-eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster).With this spectacular views over the ocean, the waves down below breaking against the rocks, you might just get chance of seeing one of these raptors up close, since they tend to soar alongside the cliff virtually at eye level.
