Store Afresh Solution� Is a solution concentrate

formulation composed as follows

� Hydrogen peroxide >7.5% w/w

� Phosphate >5% w/w

� Silver >0.0075%

The purpose of the formulation is to stabilise the hydrogen peroxide so that it does not decompose into water and oxygen until it comes into contact with organic matter.(such as potatoes or vegetables)

Store Afresh System

The Store Afresh system works in two main ways.

� INCREASED OXYGEN SUPPLY

The micro droplets of hydrogen peroxide solution permeate throughout the store and on contact with the crop ,they decompose releasing oxygen .One dose will create oxygen immediately around the crop . This level significantly reduces the CO2 build up and therefore reduces stress.

� INCREASED HUMIDITY

The extra water added to the storage room with the StoreAfresh (more than 90%) will maintain the high relative humidity provided by the dry fog that in turn will reduce dramatically the dehydration process (about 1% a month)which is known to be one of the major stress factors during long storage periods. When not applying Store Afresh , water is used to keep the crop at its desired humidity level.

General Fungus and Bacteria Population

Number of CFU in 1 ml of solution, (average of 4 repetitions).

� Fungus

� Untreated control: 4200 CFU/ml

� Post treatment: 130 CFU/ml

� The difference is significant.

� Bacteria

� Untreated control: 1300 CFU/ cc

� Post treatment: 330 CFU/ml

� The difference is a significant reduction.

� The Store Afresh treatment reduced the fungus and bacteria

population on the tubers in a significant manner.

Store Afresh breaks down into oxygen and water,causes a stress less atmosphere for potatoes by O2 enrichment andthus a reduction in the level of CO2.

This O2 enriched atmosphere together with high relative humidityrelaxes all metabolic processes within the crop.

Descriptive list of Natural acids

� Octanoic acid

Anti microbial agent that destroys fungi by suppressing its ability to grow. Antifungal agents differ from fungicides in that they defend against spores present in plant tissue, unlike fungicides which either eradicate or protect against fungal pathogens.

� Citric acid

A natural preserve of food .A benign cleaning agent and antioxidant. A weak organic acid used as a natural preservative.

� Lactic acid

Used as a food preservative in the food industry.
