Conclusions from Dutch

Village Child Care Centre

Invest in a quality food

processor. We use our

food processor when

preparing soups,

sauces, hummus, bean

dips – grinding seeds

and to make oat flour!

Be supportive and caring during meal times.

Be flexible. Some children need a drink or a piece of

fruit before they start a meal. Other children may

feel more comfortable with their feet propped up.

Meal time stressors are not always about the food!

It takes time to develop these habits and

to build a strong team. We have been

working on meal times for over 15 years!

We have a wonderful team of educators

and support staff.

We shop at Cash n’

Carry, Farmers Markets,

and Costco for different

items. Start comparing

prices by taking pictures

of items you buy often.

Lifelong health begins now. Our goal is to help

children develop a positive, healthy relationship

with food.
