NVG-102 & NVG 103
Hoffman Engineering’s NVG inspection scopes, the NVG-102 series and NVG-103 are designed as a simple, effective method of inspecting NVG compatible crew stations for continued compliance in the field. The specially designed filter will admit offensive wavelength energy to the image tube for viewing by the operator. The offending lighted product or display can then be repaired or removed from the crew station to assure NVG activity without impaired visual acuity. The NVG-102 series is unlike off-the-shelf monoculars or other image intensifier products in that Hoffman’s NVIS inspection scopes are precision-calibrated, certified reference tools designed for the purpose of evaluating cockpit lighting compatibility and external aircraft covert lighting. These inspection scopes feature up to four calibrated gain settings that enable them to evaluate a broad range of lighted devices.
The NVG-103 adds the benefit of displaying digital radiance levels via a calibrated internal reference. This allows the user to measure radiance levels which provides a greater level of confidence for determining NVIS compatibility within MIL-STD-3009.
All Hoffman Engineering inspection scopes feature function specific filters and lenses that are tailored to the system’s image intensifier tube and application. This provides NIST-traceable luminance gains and military-specified or application specific spectral responses.
