    Murthwaite Fell pony stud began in 1962 founded by Thomas Cap-stick. Today it is one of the few remaining semi-feral fell pony herds

    running on the open commons, collectively known as the Howgills. As a fanatical fell pony breeder, I endeavour to breed quality and true to type ponies which is paying off with the success Murthwaite ponies

    are having in the show ring.

    Location: The sale will be held within J36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, Cumbria, LA7 7FP - Please see the back page for directions

    Timetable: Viewing from 9am, Sale at 12pm

    Refreshments: Refreshments are available from our onsite caf, Caf Ambio

    Method of Sale: All Fell Ponies will be sold under conditions of sale of the Livestock Auctioneers Association and sold in guineas (105 pence) and in strict catalogue order, unless any alterations are announced by the Auctioneers.

    VAT: All lots are NOT subject to VAT

    Warranties: The pedigree and description of each lot believed to be correct. Any update information of any lots will be displayed or announced on the sale day. The Auctioneers and Vendors accept no liability for any damage, injury or loss to persons, animals or property whilst attending the sale.

    Disclaimer: All stock is sold as seen and no responsibility are assumed by any Vendor or the Auctioneers in respect of the condition of any animal or in respect of any information provided on an animal.

    Registration & Transfers: All animals in the auction are on the register of the Fell Pony Society. It is a legal requirement for a new owner to register a change of ownership with the relevant Passport Issuing Office within 30 days of the change. The Fell Pony Society Secretary will be available following the sale to record change of ownership details in the passports.
