The innovative NX-4000 Series Thermal Window – designed to offer the distinctive style of a hung replica window and high energy efficiency. NX-4000 Series Thermal Windows incorporate the benefits of a projected window with the added aesthetics needed for specialized retrofit projects, especially those requiring a historic appearance.

NX-4000 Series Thermal Windows feature a polymide thermal break and 1" insulating glass, making it one of the most energy-efficient glass and frame insulating products on the market today. Outstanding air and water performance is built into NX-4000 Series along with the durability to keep it performing year after year. Since it is made from aluminum, this thermal frame window will never rot, warp or buckle due to moisture and weather exposure. And the ability to create a true single- or double-hung appearance with high thermal performance makes NX-4000 Series the ideal solution for many retrofit applications.

PerformanceNX-4000 delivers exceptional air and water performance typical of a projected unit and was tested to a design pressure of 80 psf and water performance level of 15 psf. The ability to triple glaze using the combination of 1" insulating glass, access panel and internal blinds reduces noise, adds privacy and makes NX-4000 Series Thermal Windows ideal for schools and medical facilities.

The optimized wall construction uses hollow extrusion profiles with Euro-groove construction for reliable hardware attachment. Euro-groove hardware attachments have proven to be stronger than traditional mechanical fastener methods. NX-4000 takes advantage of projected windows’ reputation for durability, trouble-free operation and flexibility while maintaining the hung window aesthetic.

NX-4000 Series Thermal Windows are easily fit with a proven, releasable limit device, creating a greater margin of safety in many high-rise applications. Self-stacking meeting rails enable improved job-site logistics and installation ease, especially when used with pre-set panning or receptor systems. NX-4000 is available with blinds where the attachment is within an access panel area, providing ease of maintenance for the facility management team.

AestheticsTriple-glazed windows with blinds have long been in demand for schools and medical facilities. NX-4000 Series Thermal Windows take this requirement to new heights with a single- or double-hung appearance in a projected window offering. Fixed over project-out, fixed over project-in and fixed over fixed window configurations are available. With a master frame depth of 4-5/8" and a 3-1/8" operable vent depth, the projecting window has an exaggerated offset of 1-1/4" minimum between the upper and lower exterior glass surfaces, creating a hung window appearance. Bevel-edge framing on the vents and fixed lites replicate the look of a putty-glazed window, while optional exterior profile muntin grids simulate divided lites and offer pleasing design options.
