Ghana, is a west african country, bounded on the north by Burkina Faso, on the east by Togo, on the south by The atlantic ocean, and on the west by Côte d'Ivoire.
Formerly a british colony known as the Gold Coast, was led To independence by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on the 6thOf March, 1957. Ghana became the first black nation in Sub-saharan africa to achieve independence from colonial Rule.
The country is named after the ancient empire of ghana, from which the ancestors of the inhabitants of thePresent country are thought to have migrated. Over 60 unique languages and tribes call Ghana home, adopting English as the official language.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student run organization which focuses on youth leadership development, through cultural exchange. Our members are interested in world issues, leadership and management.

About NYLS 2016

The AIESEC National Youth Leadership Summit is a 5-day conference bringing together young leaders from 9 universities across five regions of Ghana with experts, government, and business for a conversation around global issues and the new global agenda. It is a call to action from youth nationwide to focus on the impact young people can make today and even beyond.
At AIESEC Youth Leadership Summit, we will take a deeper look into the state of the world, the state of Ghana and the impact of the millennium development goals, to be able to grasp the potential of the sustainable development goals and the role that each stakeholder plays in it, especially the youth.The event will act as a platform, connecting different sectors and providing an opportunity for everyone to come together and act collectively; A place where new and actionable ideas will be born to be implemented to impact Ghana, the world and its future. NYLS2016 has been endorsed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ghana.
