The offshore wind farm con- sists of 72 foundations for 2.3MW wind tur- bines and one foundation for a transformer substation. The foundations are designed as concrete caissons ballasted and positioned on the seabed at a depth of 7.5 to 12.5 metres. The weight of each foundation was approx. 1,300 tons before the ballasting and approx. 1,800 tons after the ballasting. Nysted Offshore Wind Farm (Rødsand 1)Concrete foundations

Aarsleff has designed, prefabricated and installed 73 concrete foundations for the first offshore wind farm at Rødsand southwest of Gedser, Denmark. The offshore wind farm con-sists of 72 foundations for 2.3MW wind tur-bines and one foundation for a transformer substation. The foundations are designed as concrete caissons ballasted and positioned on the seabed at a depth of 7.5 to 12.5 metres. The weight of each foundation was approx. 1,300 tons before the ballasting and approx. 1,800 tons after the ballasting.

Focus on offshore wind farmsAarsleff is focusing intensively on the con-struction of offshore wind farms. We have many years of experience within foundation work and marine construction, and Aarsleff has gained substantial know-how within the field of offshore wind farms in recent years. Technically and financially, we are capable of providing optimised solution for the construc-tion of offshore wind farms.

The right staff and the right equipmentWe have essential resources, and we have the right staff and the right equipment. This enables us to organise and execute compli-cated marine operations, which we demon-strated in connection with the Great Belt Link and Øresund Link projects. Besides Nysted Offshore Wind Farm at Rødsand, Aarsleff has also carried out the foundation work for the offshore wind farm Horns Rev 2 as well as a number of anemometer masts for existing and planned, future offshore wind farms at loca-tions in Denmark, Sweden and Germany.

The foundations are designed as concrete caissons ballasted and positioned on the seabed at a depth of 7.5 to 12.5 metres.
