Throughout Eastertide our Sanctuary will be filled with glorious spring blooms in thanksgiving for the people the Lord has placed in our lives. You may honor a loved one, living or deceased, with Easter flowers.

The suggested donation is $15 per plant. An envelope is included in your March packet. If indicated on the enve-lope, your loved one’s name will be printed in the Sun-day bulletin during the Easter Season.

Palm Information

If you have old blessed palms from previous years and would like to dispose of them properly, you may place them in one of the marked baskets at any of the church entrances. As sacramental (blessed objects), they need to be burned and added back to the earth. Thank you.

Congratulations to Ava Kathleen Carucci, Camdem Joel Carucci, Georgia Ann Cohen, Heidi Elizabeth Gaudreau, Charles Patrick Harris, and Bennett Andrew Johnson, who were baptized at St. Ann on February 28th.

A memorial liturgy for deceased loved ones will be at 8 AM Saturday, March 12 at Cure of Ars, 9405 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS. Following the Mass the Bereavement Ministry will have their monthly support meeting in the Father Burak room. The topic will be, Grief: Winter Into Spring." For more information call 913-649-2026.

There will be a Support the Troops Meeting, Tues, March 8, from 9:00 to 11:00 at the home of Suzanne Mogren, 3101 W. 75th St. Please feel free to come for as long as you can during this time. We would love to have you. Items that are appreciated by our troops are protein bars, ground coffee, water flavoring mixes, Girl Scout cookies, crackers (a big need), almonds (flavored), sunscreen, chap stick and other hygiene items. Join us on Saturday, March 19, 2016 for a day of reflec-tion entitled "Father, they are your gift to me" presented by Fr. Dennis Wait. The morning starts at 8:00 a.m. with Mass in the Chapel, followed by the presentation by Fr. Dennis in the Parish Hall and concluding with lunch. Cost for this event is $10.00 per person. Pray the Rosary Before the weekend Masses during Lent, come at 3:30 PM Saturday to the chapel or 8:30 AM Sunday to the church to pray a rosary for life.

Stations of the Cross Wednesdays of Lent at 5:30 pm starting this week. Bring the family and walk the way of the cross with Our Lord.

Confessions Every Wednesday in every parish in the Archdiocese from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., beginning this Wednesday.

Eucharistic Adoration Be filled with the Holy Spirit in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Come to adoration on Wednesday 9 am – 11 pm or Friday 9 am – 6 pm.

CRS Rice Bowl Take a rice bowl from the Church entrances and make a meaningful offering. The Lenten calendar included inside is full of great ideas.

Monthly Food Collection For Catholic Charities Food Pantry

Next weekend - March 12/13

Please bring your canned and non-perishable food items to church with you next weekend and leave them in the downstairs gathering space to the west of the doors. The Center is especially in need of: canned fruit, cereal/oatmeal, canned meat/tuna, pasta and pasta sauce, canned soup, Hamburger Helper, boxed potatoes, rice/beans, coffee/tea, juice, pancake mix/syrup, sugar and flour, and hygiene items like toothbrushes, tooth-paste, toilet paper, shampoo and deodorant.

Sunday March 20 is St. Ann’s day to support the on-going 40 Days for Life prayer vigil at the Center for Wom-en’s Health abortion facility located at 4840 College Blvd, Overland Park, Ks. Join your fellow parishioners any time between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM in witness and si-lent prayer for the mothers, the babies scheduled to die, and the clinic workers.
