The backstory is as follows: In the summer of 2018, Roads of Hope hosted Vadim to the United States along with some other orphans from Ukraine. Everywhere our group went, people fell in love with Vadim. They loved his hugs, his smiles, and they especially loved when he would refuse to leave the stages of churches, making me drag him off! In March 2019, I learned that Vadim was being taken by a very bad person in Ukraine. The plans this person had for Vadim were dark, evil, and heinous. I began doing everything I could do to prevent Vadim from being taken. From the halls of United States Congress to the Presidential Palace of Ukraine, no one could stop this evil from being done to Vadim. I was told many times, “It’s over Joe. Let it go. The train has left and there is no turning it around.” I am not going to give the details yet, but I will tell you that Vadim’s rescue is a modern-day miracle. I also will tell you that the story of his life, capture, rescue and adoption by the Drinkard family is one that will eventually become an award winning book and movie. It’s the story of a special needs orphan sitting in a dark, lonely orphanage in one of the most corrupt countries in the world, while a little non-profit organization in lower Alabama takes on the evil, empire of money laundering, kidnapping, and child trafficking. It’s also the story of a wounded American warrior and his wife, choosing love over excuse, and determination over quitting. The entire saga was as if Vadim was the take-home trophy, in a battle between God and the devil. The good news is God won! In December, we are going to share Vadim’s story as part of an online virtual event entitled, “Home for Christmas.” The purpose of the event is for viewers like you to walk away inspired and hopeful about entering a new year. We will have music, share some laughs, maybe a few tears, and tell a few stories. WITH JOE SAVAGEOn the Road VADIM IS HOME

FOR CHRISTMAS!NOV 2020

After 16 months of fighting Ukrainian corruption, Vadim is finally home! In July, the 13-year-old special needs orphan from Ukraine arrived at his new family and home in Daphne, Alabama. His new parents, JD and Jennifer Drinkard, report Vadim is doing exceptionally well.

Let it go. The train has left and there is no turning it around.”

I am not going to give the details yet, but I will tell you that Vadim’s rescue is a modern-day miracle.

In addition to Vadim, the girls from Emmanuel House, along with other orphans, are going to teach us how to be victorious over adversity. I believe no one on the planet is better qualified to teach us than these orphans. Watch our Facebook page or website for the date and details.

I know 2020 has been hard. I hope you and your family are doing okay. I care about you. Please contact me if I can help you.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ROADS OF HOPE IN 2020I want to thank everyone who has financially supported Roads of Hope this year. Despite difficult times, you have chosen to

rescue and help orphans, like Vadim, through our little organization. Every day, you help us care for and keep safe, 40+ orphans living in our five homes in Moldova. Thank you so very much!

ROAD CREW MEMBERS BRIDGE BUILDERSThese donors pave the way for orphans to have better lives by contributing

monthly to our orphans’ homes or general budget. When donors give consistently, we are able to know how many orphans we can care for daily

and how many orphan homes we can support monthly.

These donors pay for special projects such as rescue efforts, emergency medical care, winter clothes, educational needs, and more. Some also

provide for my family income which allows me to work full-time on behalf of orphans needing rescued, as well as covering our operating expenses.
