Power SourcesYour unit should be connected to a power source only of the voltage specified in the owners manual or as marked on the unit. This unit has a polarized plug. Do not use with an extension cord or receptacle unless the plug can be fully inserted. Precautions should be taken so that the grounding scheme on the unit is not defeated.

TheSendandReturnjacksoftheYCV20allowconvenientuseofanexternaleffectunits.Simplyconnecta1/4inchphonecabletotheSendjackoftheYCV20andthenconnectthiscabletotheInputofyoureffectsunit.TosendtheprocessedsignalbacktotheYCV20,connecttheoutputoftheeffectsunittotheReturnjackoftheYCV20.

TheSendJackcanalsobeusedasadirectlineout(preamp-out).The-10dBuoutputisidealformostguitareffectspedalsandprofessionalsignalprocessors.YoucanalsousethisoutputtoslavetheYCV20withanotherguitaramplifierbypluggingintotheReturnjackoftheslaveamplifier.

The1/4inchTRSReturnjackisusuallyusedastheReturnforyoureffectsloop.Itallowsaninputsignaltopassdirectlytothepoweramplifier.TheMasterControlsectionregulatesthesignal,soyoucanaddReverb.

Footswitch Jack 18 Connectingafootswitchtothe1/4inchTRSFootswitchjackdeactivatesthecontrolpanelmountedChannelSelectandBoostswitches.Thesefunctionsarethenactivatedexclusivelybythepedal.Theincludedfootswitchfeaturesdual-latchingswitches,eachwithaseparateLEDindicator.

Theswitchingisaccomplishedwithinternalrelayssothereisnoaudiablenoiseflowingthroughthefootswitchcable.Footswitch-inducednoiseisneveranissue.TheYCV20iscompatiblewithmostaftermarketlatchingdual-footswitchpedals.
