RCM: Grateful addict named Meri. There is a motion from Region for you to take back to your groups, discuss and vote on. It is a motion which basically states that the Show Me Regional Committee would like to send the donation to World quarterly instead of annually as we have been doing. The intent is to not accumulate excess funds at the Regional level. The motion will be included in the minutes. Also, the Writing Steps to Recovery Subcommittee is looking for people have 2 or more years clean and have worked at least the first 5 steps from the NA Step Working Guide to be a step guide for incarcerated inmates. It would be anonymous and through the mail. I will attach a flyer in the minutes which has all of the contact info. If you are interested in doing service work at the regional level, there are several vacant positions open: RSC Vice Chair, AD, Alternate Secretary and Alternate Treasurer. On the regional insurance, the questionnaires are due tonight so if you have not completed one, please see me as soon as possible. My term as RCM will be up in May and I do not intend to put in a resume for this position again, so if you’re interested, please keep that in mind. Thank you for letting me be of service, Meri S. [email protected] 417-439-0276.

SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS: AASC: Hello Ozark Area. My name is Kim S. serving as AASC chair. We are pleased to announce our area birthday celebration. It will be held at Landreth Park on May 6 at 2 pm. This year we challenge everyone to put together a 5 person team for a volleyball tournament. Entry fee for this is $5; winner takes the pot. Our speaker will be at 4 pm. There will be free food, raffle and 50/50. Our speaker this year is Justin P. We also have merchandise on sale for HOLP. We are also in the process of making our area shirts. They will be for sale soon. Our area is 38 years old this year and going strong. Come be a part of the celebration. Our next AASC meeting will be held on March 16 at Denny’s at the Flying J at 6 pm. H&I: Hello Ozark Area. My name is Crystal C. serving at H&I chair for area. We started or meeting with a moment of silence, then read the traditions and concepts. For Jasper, the men’s meeting was not met, no fault of our own and the women’s meeting was not met due to not enough women to go in. Joplin City meetings are being met. We are wanting to make sure that we send in a person who has the experience on the men’s side to go in with our two new men. So until this is met, they will wait to go in. Hopefully this will be taken care of before the next men’s meeting. Lafayette House - all meetings have been met. Patricia and I have been stepping up until we find someone to go in with Vickie M. Shelie Ranae stepped up to go in with Vickie M. Ozark and Women’s Center in Pittsburg, KS was not present. We had Bobbie M. nominate Shelie Ranae for liaison for Lafayette. She was voted in Next, I nominated K.L. Wilson for liaison for Joplin City jail. He was voted in. So new beginnings are arising within H&I. People are stepping up. We do need women to step up for Jasper and City. In loving service, Crystal C. PR: Hello Ozark Area. I’m Vickie M., an addict serving as your Public Relations Chair. We opened with

the Twelve Concepts, Twelve Traditions, and our Public Relations concept statement. Our PR phone line workshop didn’t work out as planned. Three people showed for the event. We are attentively planning a flyer day for March 18, 2017, depending on other events in area. Discussing about PR t-shirt ideas at today’s meeting and if any interest. KL W. will be added to area phone line. We’re updating our 12 step volunteer men’s and women’s list. Discussion about literature sites need to be kept up on and racks filled. Still looking for people to step up for service for PR vice chair, newsletter coordinator, and outreach coordinator. Needing topics for learning days later this year. Doing a literature order. Thanks for letting me be of service. Vickie M.

SHARING SESSION

KL W. said he wanted to have an Area bonfire fire meeting, possibly once a month. There will be a trial run on Friday, March 10 at 10 pm. The location will be 26710 Baseline Blvd., Asbury, MO 64832.

Meri mentioned the regional motion regarding the amount of money that is sent to world. We donated over $19,000 to world last year, yet areas in our region don’t go because their areas is struggling financially. It would be nice to help areas struggling with gas, lodging or both get to region.

The Straightline and Lifeline groups of Grove have merged. The name will remain Straightline.

OLD BUSINESS

The Ad Hoc Committee recommended no changes. The Literature Chair is free to do what she wants with her budget and the groups will continue to get their literature in their usual manner. Budgets: a motion was made and seconded to keep the budgets the same as last year which are as follows: RCM ($1400), Secretary ($250), Treasurer ($75), H&I ($900), Literature Review ($200), PR ($2,000), Outreach ($150), Website Coordinator ($150), General Area Expenses ($555), Regional Donation ($400). Outreach and Website Coordinator falls under PR and their numbers are included in the PR budget. The General Area expenses includes the $15 per meeting to the hosting group for the use of their facility. Funds from the HOLP account will be used to fund the Ozark Area T-shirts. Any profits will be returned back to the HOLP account which will ultimately go back to the Area account after the High On Life Picnic. Pam will assume the duty of selling the t-shirts.

NEW BUSINESS

The motion for all of the budgets passed. A motion was made and seconded regarding our funds at the regional level. The motion reads as follows: To task the RSC to set aside $2,000 per year to help struggling areas to make it to the RSC by having two paid rooms available, one for men and one for women; and to help with funds for gas not to exceed $50 per area, per region. Intent: To help areas attend the RSC which in turn gets the necessary information to those groups in that area and helps carry the message. *Note*: This is separate from the regional motion (attached) that seeks to send world donations quarterly instead of annually.
