History

• Matilda Dodge Wilson donated their estate and buildings along with two million dollars to fund Michigan state University-Oakland in 1957. They enrolled their first students (570) in 1959 and was later renamed Oakland Univeristy in 1963.

• Pediatric Rehabilitation • Requirements: must be a licensed physical

therapist, Physical therapy degree from ATPA or AOTA accredited program. Two years of clinical experience in pediatrics is highly recommended.

• Oakland university has a partnership with Beaumont Hospital; and with that partner ship they are investing ten million dollars into creating a new school of medicine, that will bring more jobs to the for the region and state, improve the healthcare of all communities and inspire research that will cure diseases and prevent illnesses.
