Inspring2014,theOASDBuildingLeadershipteamanddistrict

administrationworkedtogethertocraftanewstrategicplan.The

strategicplanwasdevelopedasa“roadmap”fortheworkof

continuousimprovementandincreasingstudentachievementinthe

yearsahead.Usingacomprehensiveandinclusiveprocess,theteam

establishedanewmission,vision,commitmentstostaff,parentsand

students,aswellasfivekeystrategicdirections.Theschoolboard

adoptedthenewstrategicplaninJune2014.

Throughthiswork,theneedforrebrandingwasidentified.The

existinglogowasevaluatedandupdatedtocreatealogoandtagline

consistentwiththemission,visionandcommitments.Thetagline-

EmpoweringaCommunityofLeadersandLeaders-expressesthe

Oconomowoctraditionofschoolsandcommunityworkinghandin

handtoeducateourchildren.

Thestarrepresentsschoolpride,communitywide,withtheyellow

swooshreachingupwardtoconveyenergyandprogresstowards

achievingexcellenceforallOconomowocstudents.

agoldswoosh,andfreshtypefaces.Thedistrictlogocanbeusedwithor

withoutthenewmissionstatementaspartofthemark.Threeversionswere

createdtoprovideflexibilityofuseinavarietyofprintandonlineapplications:

horizontal,vertical,andsquare.
