“Oasis of Murals”The OASIS OF MURALS project was started by a local

Merchants Committee in 1994 and grew into the non-profit Action Council for 29 Palms, Inc., in 1995. By 2014, the group had commissioned 26 outdoor murals, illustrating the colorful history of 29 Palms and wildlife of the Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree National Park.
