Oat beta glucan with β1→4 and β1→3 linkages
70% (β1→4)-linked and 30% (β1→3)-linked β-D-glucopyranosyl residues, organised in blocks of (β1→4)-linkage sequences (cellotriosyl and cellotetraosyl cellulose-like segments) separated by single (β1→3)-linkages. Very different benefits and properties than {1,3}, {1,6} beta glucan found in mushrooms and yeast.
