As this is a local installation, I have chosen an existing tablespaace for hosting the RCU data.

NOTE: The RCU requires a mimimum of approx 50MB free space in your tablespace. Use the followingcommand to increase the space in case required.

SQL> alter database datafile 'C:\Oracle\DB11g\karthicb\oradata\maverick\USERS01.DBF' RESIZE 200M;

As it reads, you will need to have completed RCU installation before proc eeding with this installation.We have created a schema c alled DEV_BIPLATFORM during our RCU install ation that has the repository

for OBIEE.

There are 3 options availabl e to install OBIEE. The next page shows the v arious steps involved in theSimple and Enterprise Install options. There are additional configuration ste ps that become visible if theEnterprise option is selected. We will be using the Enterprise Install option here

The installation will be interrupted to seek the location of the n ext CD for installables. The first time of the prompt , provide the location where you have extracted the contents of bi_windows_x86_111130_32_disk2_1of2\bishiphome\Disk3

The next time location of Disk2 then Disk3 once more

Then installation proceeds to the BI configuration screen

Finally you end up in the summary screen. Please note the details for future reference as we are dealingwith multiple components in this new version

Click on Finish to end the installation. We shall now proceed to validate our installation.

Make sure the following services are up and running before you attempt to start testing

Database listener service Database service

Oracle Process Manager Oracle WebLogic NodeManager
