1. PLATFORMS

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Platforms, etc. mentioned in this section encompass the operating environment and software required for use with Objective's applications. This section of the document does not form an agreement to supply support services; the platforms are supported only when used in combinations enumerated in this document (running Objective's applications in a configuration that is not listed in the matrices below may result in unpredictable outcomes, in functionality and/or performance).

This document may be updated with each software release, is current as of the document publication date, and supersedes any previous versions posted for this release.

Important: The plus sign used within this document indicates that later patches, hot fixes and Service Packs (SP) of that application's version are supported, for example: 6.0+ denotes that 6.0, 6.1, etc. are supported as well, but not 7.0 or 8.0

1.2 SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

Supported platforms are a comprehensive set of products supported by Objective. These are the only platforms that are supported under the Upgrade and Support Program.

1.4 BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY

Important: Objective Server is backward-compatible with Navigator, but not vice versa: for example, setting up Navigator 7.5+ to run on Objective Server 7.4+ is not supported under any circumstances.

Objective 7.5+ Server is backward-compatible with Navigator 7.4+, and this combination has been tested. Note that if Objective 7.5+ Server is used with a previous version of Navigator, some features will be unavailable.
