Justification
• Actors create characters from their observations of people.
• Actors are researchers.
Requirements
• Your observations will be two to three paragraphs in length.
• You should include, but are not limited to:– Explanation as to why you noticed this person/animal
(only one animal per quarter)
– Give a physical description of the person
– Explain unique characteristics/mannerisms
– Explain how they interact with others
– Any other bits of interesting information
More Requirements
• Your observations must be live, not from movies, tv, etc.
• They should be observations from this semester.
A Suggestion….
• Go and observe people outside of Century High School and your family.
• Sit in the subway level of the clinic or go to any of the floors at the clinic and people watch.
• Sit at the mall. Go to the dog park.• Visit a bus station or bus stop.• Visit a place of worship.
More Requirements
• You will complete six observations each quarter.
• Late observations will lose 50%.

Must be typed, double spaced, with a font no smaller than 12, no larger than 14.
Words must be spelled correctly.Please write your observation in complete
sentences.
Grading
Each observation is worth 10 points.They add up, so it is in your best interest to
do your observations.Please remember that if you have a
prearranged absence that your observation should be turned in the day before.
Who is this person?
• Consider these things--
- age, coloring (skin, hair, eyes), height, weight
- occupation (guess or make an assumption)
- what are the values of this person (again take a guess or make an assumption)
- what motivates this person (again guess)
