shipping Each bale weighs 800 to 1,200 pounds
Sorting: The bottles are then optically sorted. Then go through a machine
Melting:The flakes are then washed, dried and melted.
FlakingThe melted plastic is formed into flakes.
Next applicationsFlakes are spun into fine, thread like material to make textiles and other materials.
Benefits of Recycling Plastic Bottles
Energy ConservationProducing new plastic products from recycled
materials.Beneficial ReuseRecycled bottles provide an environmentally
friendly source.Recycled plastic bottles make hundreds of
everyday products.
Greater Recycled Plastic Supply & Demand
The more we recycle, the more recycled plastics are available.
According to the American Chemistry Council.Save Landfill SpaceRecycling one ton of plastic saves 7.4 cubic
yards of landfill space.Meaningful ReductionAlong with recycling, reduction is an
important step.
