SUBJECT: Granting Incentives To Judges WhoAre Given Additional Duty OfHearing And Deciding Cases OfOther Branches Of Their Courts OrOf Other Courts Of The SameLevel
For the information and guidance of all concerned, quotedhereunder is the resolution of the Court En Banc dated February 2,1999 in A.M. No. 99-1-04-SC - Re : Granting Incentives to Judgeswho are given Additional Duty of Hearing and Deciding Cases ofother Branches of their Courts or of other Courts of the sameLevel.
"Effective immediately, Judges of RegionalTrial Courts (RTC), Metropolitan Trial Courts(MeTC), Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, MunicipalTrial Courts (MTC) and Municipal Circuit TrialCourts (MCTC) who are given additional assignmentof hearing and deciding cases of other branches of theRTC, MeTC or MTCC, or of other MTC or MCTC,as the case may be, shall be entitled to an additionalexpense allowance at the rate of Five Hundred (P500)a day for every day rendered in the other branch orbranches but in no case to exceed Six Thousand Pesos(P6,OOO)a month, and chargeable against the regularappropriations for representation and travelallowances for such other branch or branches whichare deemed savings in such item for the duration ofthe vacancy of such branch or branches.
In addition to the foregoing, such judges shallbe given a monthly hardship allowance of FiveHundred Pesos (P500) for every additional branch that
