Established since 1987, Occasions, a leading PR and event organization company in Hong Kong,

specializes in the luxury lifestyle market. We are the firm that local movers and shakers turn to

when they want to stand out in the crowd; the group that international brands and companies look

to when they want to make a splash in the region; the guest list that everyone wants to be on.

Occasions has successfully launched, rebuilt and repositioned brands from a variety of sectors and

industries, all born out of the idea that life is meant to be enjoyed. Over the past two decades we

have delivered world-class PR initiatives and events that raise our client’s profile, deliver on their

business objectives and surpass their expectations.

Through our long-standing rapport with media across the Greater China region, as well as our

personal relationships with the “who’s who” in town who appreciate and understand luxurious and

finer things in life, we are able to deliver our clients’ messages through campaigns and events that

With a team of 30 former journalists, luxury brand executives, corporate communications

professionals and agency veterans led by its Directors, Ms. Pansy Ho, Ms. Yvette Yung and Mr.

Management Biography

Pansy is instrumental to the creation and growth of Occasions. Pansy is the managing director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, a leading Hong Kong-based conglomerate operating four core businesses – shipping, property, hospitality and investments. Pansy is also the joint venture partner of MGM Mirage to develop and operate MGM GRAND Macau, a 5-star luxury hotel resort in Macau. In addition, Pansy is the chairman of Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, a committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Beijing, member of the executive committee of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, executive vice president of Guangdong Chamber of Foreign Investors, founding honorary advisor and board director of The University of Hong Kong Foundation for Educational Development and Research and advisory council member of the Better Hong Kong Foundation.

The contributions and achievements of Pansy have won her global recognition, as she was named one of the “Most Powerful Women in Business in 2006, International” by Fortune Magazine and in 2013 her outstanding business performance even made her the richest woman in Hong Kong, 11th on the Forbes Hong Kong rich list. Such unparallel experiences in the Hong Kong, Macau and China markets, together with her vast association with local charity organisations and local and global connections in the social and business communities are invaluable assets to the development of our group.

Pansy's vast association with local charity organisations becomes the cradle of her success in the events marketing spectrum as well. In the past years, Pansy has organised numerous talk-of-the-town events, which were both beneficial to Occasions and in raising the international standards of the Hong Kong society. Her vision set Occasions on a mission quite different from other PR companies, in that it strives for excellence and value enhancement for both itself and its clients.

Yvette contributes immensely to cultivating client and media relationships, she has been actively involved in overseeing the operations of this leading PR & marketing agency in Hong Kong and serves as the key to the company's impeccable network of business and social contacts as well as familiarity and access to royal families, high net-worth investors and fine rarities in the world. Her extensive background in public relations and events management has expanded Occasions to what it has become today. Having started her career in the fashion industry, Yvette has established a name for herself in the retail industry and has nurtured valuable and amicable relationships with international brands and corporations as well as the Hong Kong media.

As a member of the Yung's lineage, Yvette's connection with Mainland China is invaluable, which serves as a winning edge exclusively to Occasions.

Aside from her busy schedule and business commitments, Yvette also devotes much time and resources to local charities such as AIDS Concern, the Hong Kong Cancer Fund and Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association to benefit others in need.

Management Biography

Francis holds a prominent and essential role in Occasions. Graduating from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and finishing his Master’s degree in University of Hong Kong, he is a key facilitator that keeps the well-oiled Occasions machine running smoothly. Francis also holds positions including renowned columnist in multiple magazines in Hong Kong and China, as well as an artist manager for Wyman Wong and Hilary Tsui.

With solid PR & Marketing experiences from Star TV and Lan Kwai Fong Group, Francis handles the majority of accounts from the luxury brand industry. Not only does he maintain a strong bond with most of the socialites and artists in town, he also stays close with all the chief editors from newspapers to magazines. In addition, Francis also has solid connections abroad in China and in other countries.

This year, Francis was named “Person of the Year” by COSMO Bride. In this industry, he holds the leading position on top. In these upcoming days, Francis along with the Occasions family will continue working hard to further conquer the PR industry, aiming to become the first preference by all of the big companies worldwide.

Venus Lau, Associate Director

Venus Lau joined Occasions in 2003 and is now Associate Director of the Company. Her extensive network built up over the years and her experiences in event planning and organisation, production coordination and logistics management, media and guest relations management have contributed to delivering many successful marketing campaigns for our clients. Venus has been servicing and built up strong relationships with leading global luxury brands accounts including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood, Fendi, Christian Dior, Chaumet and Cartier.

Cherry Cheung, Associate Director

Possessing over 15 years of concrete experience in events, public relations and marketing in corporations as The Hong Kong Tourism Board, The Hong Kong Cancer Fund, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Cherry has developed a well-rounded profile in marketing communications covering charity, semi-government and the commercial sectors. Her former position as Social Editor of Hong Kong’s social bible – the Hong Kong Tatler magazine had further enriched her connections with the high society, luxury brands and media to a huge extent, making her one of the most popular luxury PR professionals in Hong Kong.
