Message from the Chair
I would like to extend a big thank you to Jaime Singer from CP Kelco for her fantastic presentation at our April meeting. The presentation was creative and informative and I am so grateful she travelled down from Chicago for the meeting. We had another fabulous turnout for the luncheon. The speaker, food and location were all great – thank you to all who attended.
Our next event is the annual Golf outing on Thursday May 22 at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, IL beginning at 12:30 pm with a Shotgun Start. Please register, sponsor a hole or make a donation at http://www.stlouisscc.org/golf-tournament-society-cosmetic-chemists.html.
After a hiatus from a summer event due to St. Louis hosting the national mid-year meeting last year, we are happy to announce a St. Louis Chapter Summer Picnic scheduled for Sunday, June 29 at Kirkwood Park located at the corner of Adams and Geyer in Kirkwood. We have booked picnic areas 5 and 6. The chapter will provide the main course and non-alcoholic drinks. Please bring a side or dessert to share. Our picnic area is right next to a large sprinkler so make sure the kids pack a towel and wear clothes that can get wet if it is a hot day. We are finalizing plans for our September Scientific Seminar. Please mark your calendar for Friday, September 26 for this all day event. We already have some fantastic speakers lined up that you will not want to miss. It is never too early to be thinking about future officers, so please let me know if you may be interested in running for an office for 2015. Our chapter is small but mighty thanks to the members and their support, time and energy.
