I chose a similar font to ITV so stay with the branding of the institution as this is the channel I intended my soap would be on I also tried to keep this font the some throughout the final projects to keep the branding the same

Page 7: Ocr g324 question2

The branding of my poster is quite low key similar to this existing poster (top left) with only the black background and the charters just standing out from the background, the strap line is short and you can see the ITV logo, which is quite conventional for an ITV poster

Page 8: Ocr g324 question2

But unlike the existing poster on the previous slide, my poster has the name of the soap the time and day which the soap is on and the ITV logo is on the bottom left hand corner which another convention of a billboard like this existing ITV Poster

Page 9: Ocr g324 question2

But unlike the existing poster on the previous slide my poster has the ITV website for the soap at the bottom of the poster like this existing billboard poster

Page 10: Ocr g324 question2

But unlike any of the existing posters which I have shown my poster has a Twitter feed (Q4) which is something new that has come into play which allows you to get frequent updates of the soap

Both are set out similar ways and engage the reader in a conventional way

It the main character was happy it would provoke a completely different genre

The front cover has done well to represent the soap by showing the genre of the soap, by having the main character crying shows the nature of the soap.

Page 19: Ocr g324 question2

The audience interest is generated by the stars on the cover the running of mascara on Kate’s face makes the reader wanting to know what is happening in the soap

By presenting the soap with a conventional magazine cover it allows the target audience to create links with the soap characters

Overall the magazine looks good as it has followed the conventions and was guided by TV & Satellite Week

Page 20: Ocr g324 question2

The pose of the main character and how she interacts with the camera creates mystery for the reader, but the headline and the trailer does reveal some plot points

All three pieces of media, when they combined slowly unravel the plot which I have created
