Principal’s Message e are off to a tremendous

start at DCS! Success in

school is a three way partnership

between students, teachers and

parents.

Students in grades 4-12 have

their marks posted in

PowerSchool, which can be

accessed through our school

website. Please note that students

in grade 6/7/8 are piloting a new

report card, which means that we

are learning things every day. If

you are unsure about how to access

these grades, please contact Kathy

Huston to find out more.

We have parent teacher

conferences scheduled in

November, but if you have

concerns about your child's

progress, don't hesitate to contact

their teacher. We regularly

arrange meetings to help ensure

students are on track for success.

As always, feel free to contact

me in person, via telephone

403-749-3838, or by e-mail

[email protected].

Sincerely,

Ted Hutchings

Annual GALA EVENT

WHERE: Olds High School Commons Area

WHEN: Friday, November 3rd GALA from 7:00 to 9:00

WHY: Kick off to Grad 2018! A “green” alternative

For EVERYONE

Our first Annual Gala was held in March of 2016 and the next annual event was hosted on

October 27, 2016. Our vision is that this gala will be a “kick off” to the grad season and a

chance for grads to begin considering their purchasing choices.

We are seeking community support in many ways. If you want to be involved please consider

either: 1) Donating grad gowns or suits. Donated items are being taken at the Olds High School from October 23 to

27

2) Consider volunteering to model at the gala. Contact your high school Family Wellness Worker if you are

interested in this

3) ATTENDING THE GALA – the more guests we have the better it is for our cause

If you have any questions or suggestions as we begin this exciting project, please contact

either Karen Grudeski at 403-335-4568 or Tane Skotheim at 403-586-8277
