Hello residents, staff, and friends,

October has arrived! The month of October is considered to be one of the best months of the year. October has something for everyone: the football games, the Halloween décor, and/or take a scenic drive to enjoy the vibrant colors of the leaves.

The month of October is busy for our Recreational Therapeutic Department. There are many exciting events and trips planned for our residents and staff. We kick-start our Halloween with the Pumpkin Decorating Contest for all departments. Then, team Regal Heights will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Wilmington Riverfront. We can’t end the month of October without the Regal Heights Annual Haunted House, Trick or Treat Event with Kindercare Day Care, the Halloween Costume Contest, and the Halloween Party with Mr. Joe Parker.

Resident of the Month: Genaro “Jerry” Arroyo RiveraRegal Heights is proud to announce Genaro “Jerry” Arroyo Rivera as our October Resident of the Month. Jerry was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a police officer for the NYPD for 15 years. Wanting a change in scenery, Jerry moved to New Jersey and became a biotechnician, then moved to Maryland and became a

food health inspector. Jerry enjoys Sci-fi and Super Hero films and loves the Walking Dead television series. His hobbies are computers and photography. Jerry is well known and loved here at Regal Heights and he would like to share a message with his fellow residents, “Through the ups and downs, stay on the straight and narrow”.
