Deneses recipe is now enteredin national judging for a $2,000grand prize. It will compete against45 other first place winning recipesfrom around the country.

Denese has participated in thecontest three other times, but this

is the first time she has won tophonors.When creating this recipe, she

wanted to make something withchicken that was family-friendly.She came up with a deliciouschicken salad.

Denese began competing in foodcompetitions at the fair after herthree children were grown.

She and her husband, Tony, runa commercial real estate business.
