    Denese has participated in thecontest three other times, but this

    is the first time she has won tophonors.When creating this recipe, she

    wanted to make something withchicken that was family-friendly.She came up with a deliciouschicken salad.

    Denese began competing in foodcompetitions at the fair after herthree children were grown.

    She and her husband, Tony, runa commercial real estate business.

    Riding Clubs and Sheriff Posses finals.Cox ran six events and landed a first-place

    ibbon in flags with a time of 16.944 sec-nds.The three-day annual event was Labor Dayeekend in Bowie with almost 300 ridersompeting in seven age groups.Cox is a member of the Wise County Wran-
