Varsity Cross Country District Champs Varsity Boys Meet Results: Clint Wolf finished 4th place; Justin Duke finished 6th place; Dylan Patterson

finished 8th place; Cade Argenbright finished 11th place; Ken Wade finished 12th place. “The varsity boys

came in and ran a tough race and came away with their second district championship in a row. The boys are

running at a good pace, Tthey have not yet reached their peak

performance which is good considering we have not reached

our goal for the year. They will be competing at the regional

cross country meet next week at Humble Texas,” according to

Coach Moore.

Junior Varsity Meet Results top 5 runners: Micah Mathis

6th place; Ben Brown 7th place; Landon Dorner 10th place;

Tyler Raine 15th place; Dakota Emerson 18th place. “Junior

Varsity came out and ran hard. They had a good performance

to carry them into the upcoming basketball season on a posi-

tive note,” says Coach Moore.

Junior High Boys Results: Thomas Coberley took 2nd Place

overall. Isaac Bennett 23rd place; Taylor Josey 24th place.

Junior High Girls Results: Kelsey Wolf finished 3rd overall in the Girls race.

Beta Reminds Students To Be at Halloween Carnival

for Drawing of 25 Free Carnival Tickets

Mrs. South, co-sponsor of Beta Club, says that all students who donated a coat or

jacket to the Can Help Coat Drive had the option of having their name put in the

drawing one time for each coat that they brought in. The drawing will be held to-

night at the carnival at 6:30 at the PTO’s Ticket Booth where tickets are sold. The

winner’s name will also be announced on the intercom.

Tyler Raine Named All-Around Cowboy

Caleb, Tyler, Tori Raine in TJRA Rodeo Finals

Caleb, Tyler and Tori Raine made it to the TJRA Rodeo finals. After competing in 15

rodeos the top 15 competitors in every event went to the finals. The finals were in held in

McAlester, OK last weekend. It was a two-day rodeo starting Friday afternoon. All 3 did

awesome in all their events. They all won buckles and lots of prizes. But the star of the

weekend was Tyler Raine winning the TJRA All Around Cowboy. Not only did he win

all-around but also won 1st in

bull riding and 1st in goat

tying. He won the average in 2

events winning buckles and

average money. He also

placed in all other events that

he competed in. All in all,

Tyler won 3 saddles, buckles,

bits, blankets and much more

totaling about $6000. Tyler

also had the most points of all

competitors which earned him

#1 on his back and starting the grand entry ceremony for the weekend carrying the Texas

flag. What a great weekend for the Raines!

Halloween Carnival Tonight

Gore Takes 1st Place at Texas A&M-Commerce

FFA Leadership Development Contest

Yesterday Casey Gore competed against FFA chapter members from across the

state of Texas and brought home a first place plaque in Senior Creed Speaking.

The contest requires reciting the creed but also answering questions from judges

about the importance of agriculture in our society.

Justin Goldsmith placed 8th in the Greenhand Creed Speaking. The Chapter Con-

ducting Team placed 6th.

All of these students will be in district competition on November 11.
