A flaunting display of colourful and ostentatious Passing-Out Parade of Basic Training Batches
Since the month of January’16 to September’16 the following Batches of Basic Training Courses passed out from SVSPA:
1. Recruit Warders of Correctional Services (4 Months Trg) Batch No. 206/16 from 22.02.2016 to 04.07.2016; 241 heads.
2. Basic Training of DySP Probationer (12 Months Trg) Batch No. 64/15-16 27.07.2016; 18 heads.
3. Basic Training of SI UB (KP & WBP) (12 Months Trg) Batch No. 63/16 27.07.2016; 8 heads.
4. Basic Training of Sgt. (KP) (12 Months Trg) Batch No. 55/15-16 27.07.2016; 55 heads.
5. Basic Training of SI UB (WBP) (70 working days Trg) Batch No. 64/16 from 28.12.2016 to 27.07.2016; 269 heads.
6. Basic Training of SI AB (WBP) (70 working days Trg) Batch No. 36/16 from 28.12.2016 to 27.07.2016; 88 heads.
In the last nine months, the Academy was full of training activities with the
maximum of training capacity put to use. The Jail Warders, Sub-Inspectors of Police,
Sergeants and DySP totaling 677 have passed out of this Academy. Pre-promotional
training for ASI to SI and SI to Inspectors were conducted for about 1000 officers. 22 In-
service training courses were conducted on different professional issues and 612
participants of different ranks attended the same. As we take a breath, two batches of
DySP probationers numbering 55 officers have joined the Academy. This is the first time
such a large number of DySP Probationers will be trained together in the Academy. The
faculty and other staff have really put up their best efforts to conduct various training
courses and to keep up the Academy. The facilities at the academy are renovated to keep
the fresh look of the academy. I shall be thankful for my team for endeavouring towards

In-service Training Courses
In-Service Training at SVSPA, perceived as vehicle of change, was extended in the recent past in both horizon and variety to act as a catalyst in reaping long term benefits for the entire organisation. In order to standardize the In-Service Courses and to facilitate the attainment of training objectives, ‘In-Service Training Section’ (ISTS) was established at SVSPA in the year 2015. Forthwith after its launch, ISTS successfully conducted 16 Courses for 469 police personnel of different ranks from different Police units of WBP & KP and from other states & CAPFs in the year 2015.
Provided below is the brief description of Courses conducted between January and September in the year 2016. Total 612 participants attended the 22 courses.

9. 15 - Day Preparatory training course for AIPDM on Scientific Aid to Investigation.
10. 04 - Weeks BDDS Training of RPF/BDDS Unit in ER at STC EFR 2nd Bn. Salua.
11. 05 - Day in-service training course on Anti Human Trafficking (BPR&D Sponsored).

Games, Sports & Recreational Events
A spectacle of various games and sporting events organised at SVSPA during “Annual Sports Meet 2016” and on other occasions during the year 2016. Though only the performances of event winners were visibly cherished and acknowledged, the academy appreciates the spirit of every participating soul who competed in the events and posed a strong challenge for other contenders. Academy congratulates the winners for their splendid performances; and encourages the rest of the competitors to strive harder and emerge as future winners.

A manifestation of developmental, welfare and beautification projects undertaken during the year
2016 at SVSPA. The measures include plantation of trees; renovation of children’s park; setting up
of employee’s cooperative store & canteen, renovation of Trainees Hostel & Mess and Class room.
These were considered essential for all round development and environmental protection. It was
the whole hearted involvement of SVSPA employees and their relentless pursuit which rendered
the goal achievement conceivable.

A resonant display of collage highlighting the intimate efforts undertaken by this academy to

29.02.2016 for his retirement from service.

performance. During the erstwhile annual felicitation programme, 09 secondary standard
students and 04 higher secondary standard students were appreciated and cheered for their
startling and distinctive academic triumph.
