Beginning Experience of the Hudson Valley Beginning Experience is offering a healing weekend October 18-20, 2019 at the St. Lawrence

Retreat Center in Beacon, NY. This invitation is open to men and women of all ages who have

suffered the loss of a spouse through death, divorce, or separation. It is a time to heal and a time

to begin anew. Reservations are required.

UNCLE AL’S THRIFT SHOP

The chill is in the air, and the countdown begins to our Parish COAT SALE and More! The sale begins this week on

Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and on Sunday, October 13 from 10:00am

until 2:00pm at St. Joseph School gym. You have never seen a sale like this! Neatly organized fall and winter

coats, sweaters, shoes & boots, suits & sport coats, handbags and accessories await you. Shopping will truly be a

pleasure as you meander from one area to the next. Uncle Al’s volunteers will be on the floor, ready to assist you

as needed.

Setting up will be on Wed., Oct. 9; sales staff will be on duty Fri., Sat. & Sun., Oct. 11, 12 & 13; breaking down and

packing items for storage will take place on Sun., Oct. 13, at the conclusion of the sale (2:00pm). Contact Edye

Metropolitan Catholic Chorale On Saturday, October 19, at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Parish in Amenia, the Wethersfield Institute for

Catholic Thought will host a Solemn Mass to be sung by the Metropolitan Catholic Chorale featuring a Choral

Mass Ordinary by Casciolini Chant Propers. Confession will precede Mass.

Palliative Care

The Antidote for Physician-Assisted Suicide Sr. Peter Lillian DiMaria, O. Carm., Director of Gerontology at the Avila Institute in Germantown, will present:

Meditations on Suffering—Care for the Dying, on Saturday, October 26, from 10am until 12:30pm, at the Knights

of Columbus Hall, 1278 Route 9G, Hyde Park. Admission is free but you must pre-register to insure adequate

Silver Threads Luncheon The Women’s Guild invites all Millbrook area seniors to a luncheon to be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at
