OmanDentalCollegeisahighereducationprovider,approvedbytheGovernmentoftheSultanateofOman,licensed,regulatedandsupervisedbytheMinistryofHigherEducation(MoHE)andistheonlydentalcollegeintheSultanate.ItiscentrallylocatedinMuscatinAlWattayahincloseproximitytoMinistryofHealthprimaryandtertiarycaremedicalfacilities.TheCollegecurrentlyawardstheBachelorofDentalSurgery(BDS)DegreethroughasixyearprogrammeofstudiescomprisingafiveyeardentalDegreeProgrammeprecededbyaoneyearpredentalGeneralFoundationProgramme

ODChasanacademicafffffiliationwithoneoftheoldestuniversitiesintheworldtheUniversityComplutenseofMadrid,Spain(UCM)fofrtheBDSdentalDegreeProgramme.TheCollegeisanassociatememberoftheAssociationfofrDentalEducationinEurope(ADEE).TheADEEundertookapeerreviewoftheCollegeinMay2015.TheCollegealsobenefitsfromahighlevelInternationalAdvisoryPanel(IAP)whichassessesandadvisesODConallaspectsofitsoperationsincludingitsinfrastructure,strategicplanningandthedevelopmentoftheBDSDegreeProgramme.TheBDSprogrammeofstudiesatODCismodernandcontemporaryandisstructuredtoaccommodatebothlocalandinternationalstudents.

BachelorofDentalSurgery(BDS)IIIInthethirdIIIBDSacademicyear,studentsbegintotreatpatientsunderclosesupervision.Studentslearntoperffoormawidevarietyofdentalproceduresapplyingtheorytopractice.Studentsalsolearnhowtoapplypreventivemeasuresandmotivatepatientstomaintainahighstandardoforalhealth.

BachelorofDentalSurgery(BDS)IVandVDuringthefoollowingIVBDSandVBDSyearsandasclinicalexperienceisgained,skillsarefurtherdevelopedandstudentslearnmorecomplexmethodsoftreatmentsothatbytheendoftheVBDSfinalyeartheyarepreparedfoorindependentdentalpractice.

ThroughouttheBDSclinicalprogrammethereisemphasisontheinterrelationshipbetweenthediffffferentdentalspecialties,whichdevelopsessentialskillsindiagnosisandtreatmentplanningwithaviewtoprovidingtotalholisticpatientcare.

EquivalentinternationalqualificationssuchastheInternationalBaccalaureateCert&Dip,Alevels,CBSEetcareaccepted,pleasecontactthecollegedirectlyfofrdetails.
