Rachel Simmons Rachel Simmons is co-founder of Girls Leadership and Director of Research. She is the author of two New York Times bestsellers, Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls and The Curse of the Good Girl: Raising Authentic Girls with Courage and Confidence. Rachel develops curriculum-based programs for girls, young women and adults. The host of the PBS special “A Girl’s Life,” her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Atlantic. She is a regular contributor to Good Morning America.

Simone Marean Simone Marean is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Girls Leadership. She taught Girls Leadership programs and presented on girls across the country and internationally, including the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Simone has a Masters degree in Educational Theatre from New York University and taught at many New York City schools including The Young Women’s Leadership School, and The Brearley School. She has appeared on the Today Show and KQED’s Forum. Simone grew up on the north shore of Boston and graduated from Bryn Mawr College Magna Cum Laude. She now lives in Berkeley, CA with her husband and two young boys.

David Michaelson Dr. Michaelson is Global Director of Research & Insights at Teneo. He has 36 years’ experience conducting primary research for numerous Fortune 500 companies, universities and philanthropic organizations. Dr. Michaelson is a leading authority in communications testing, message development, measurement of communications effectiveness and branding.

Jennifer Clark Jennifer is an experienced market researcher, specializing in the design and implementation of custom primary research and media analysis. Jennifer has spent her career designing and conducting research to address clients’ key business concerns with a focus on managing corporate reputation and communications.

Kim Davis Kimberly Davis is a Senior Managing Director at Teneo. Previously, Kim was Managing Director of Global Philanthropy and CSR & President of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. Kim was the architect of the first affinity group for Women of Color on Wall Street. Kim led the design, development and implementation of the first national leadership center devoted to women of color – The Spelman College Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement in Atlanta, Georgia.

Therese O’Higgins Therese O'Higgins is a Vice President with Teneo Strategy. At Teneo, Therese is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion team working predominately on client issues related to CSR and Diversity and Inclusion. Therese is a founding member of The Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative and also Teneo’s Leadership Institute in partnership with Cornell University.
