On our planet there are many factories. They use much oxygen for burning and throw a

lot of smoke and carbon dioxide into the

atmosphere.

The smoke hurts eyes, does great harm on

plants and animals, causes

diseases with people.

In order to protect the air

against contamination, special filters are put on the

factory chimneys.

The life is impossible without water. But only 2 percent of all the water on our planet.

Some countries are short of fresh water.

Plants and animals die in the water which is polluted.
