    FEES PAYABLE TO THE PHARMACY COUNCIL OF NAMIBIA:PHARMACY ACT, 2004

    The President of the Pharmacy Council of Namibia makes known under section 28(3) of the Pharmacy Act, 2004 (Act No. 9 of 2004), that the Council has, with the written approval of the Minister of Health and Social Services, determined the fees payable to the Council, -

    (a) in terms of the Act, as set out in the Schedule; and

    (b) repeal General Notice No. 352 of 9 September 2013.

    SCHEDULE

    Definitions

    1. In this Schedule “the Act” means the Pharmacy Act, 2004 (Act No. 9 of 2004) and, unless the context otherwise indicates, a word or expression defined in the Act has that meaning.

    “additional qualification” means an additional qualification registered under section 31 of the Act;

    “specialist” means any person in whose name a speciality is registered;

    “speciality” means any speciality registered under section 31 of the Act; and

    “the Act” means the Pharmacy Act, 2004 (Act No. 9 of 2004).

    Fees payable to the Council in terms of the Act by registered persons

    2. The fees payable to the Council in terms of the Act are as specified in the “Table of Fees” set out below.

    The President of the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia makes known under section 26(3) of the Allied Health Professions Act, 2004 (Act No. 7 of 2004), that the Council has, with the written approval of the Minister of Health and Social Services –

    (a) determined the fees payable to the Council, in terms of the Act, as set out in the Schedule; and

    (b) repeal General Notice No. 350 of 9 September 2013.

    H. BURGERPRESIDENTALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL OF NAMIBIA

    SCHEDULE

    Definitions

    1. In this Schedule, “unless the context otherwise indicates, a word or expression define in the Act has the same meaning and -

    “practitioner” means a person registered under the Act to practice any allied or complementary health profession specified in section 18 of the Act; or any other profession declared under section 60 of the Act as an allied or complementary health profession to which the Act applies, but excluding a supplementary practitioner;

    “student” means a person studying or receiving education, tuition or training at an educational institution for the purpose of obtaining a qualification which will enable the person to be registered as a practitioner or as a supplementary practitioner;

    ”supplementary practitioner” means a practitioner who, in terms of his or her scope of practice as prescribed under section 55 of the Act –

    (a) may not conduct a private practice; and

    (b) must practise his or her profession in the employ or under the supervision of a practitioner or of any other person authorised by the Council;

    “the Act” means the Allied Health Professions Act, 2004 (Act No. 7 of 2004).
