BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MARKETING PROGRAMME
The Bachelor of Science in Marketing (BSM) provides students with the knowledge, skills and competencies to plan and manage marketing activities. The main aim of the programme is to provide students with an understanding of the theoretical issues involved in the field of marketing whilst helping them to develop a range of practical skills which will enhance their market value and academic worth.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The Bachelor’s Degree is a four (4) year programme split into eight (8) semesters, with
exception of those upgrading from Diploma. In the fourth (4th) year of Degree
programme, students will be required to undertake a research project.

MODE OF STUDY
Normal Weekdays, Weekend, Block Release, Evening
Normal Entry Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with at least six credit
passes including English and Mathematics.
Mature Entrya. Diploma in related fields with a pass of 55% or above or a cumulative GPA of
2.50 or above in the final year obtained from a credible and recognized institution
and two years relevant experience plus four credits including English at MSCE.
b. Eligible candidates under this requirement are only those who hold a two year or
above Diploma. Those who holds a less than two year Diploma are not covered
under this requirement.
c. Those with Diploma as in “a” will enter at third year (3rd) year.
