ORU’s 100% bolt on conversion kit includes all the necessary components to convert your 2001 ‘10 GM from an independ

ent front suspension, to a 4 link solid axle with coil over shocks. After installing this kit with our NEW Dana 60 solid axle, you

can run a larger tire (37” to 40”) with a minimum amount of lift. With the added articulation, you’ll be ready for anything the

trails have to dish out! The kit comes complete with all necessary brackets and hardware, including, 4 link, adjustable 2.5”

front coil over shocks, front axle assembly, brake lines, rear springs and shocks. The only other items required are a com

plete front driveshaft and a rear driveshaft modification.

2001-2010 GM HD 2500-3500 4X4 and 4X2 IFS to Solid Axle Conversion KitThis ORU bolt-on conversion kit includes all the necessary brackets to convert independent front suspension (IFS) to a solid axle system, (addi-tional required and optional components can be found using the color coded char the next page). The solid axel system accommodates a tallerlift and larger tries while providing more articulation than IFS. The solid axle with locking hubs can be equipped with a limited slip or licking dif-ferential for greater off-road capabilities. Moving parts and maintenance are greatly reduced. For a premium ride, order one of our new “+6”kits that utilize 6” longer front springs.

Note: This kit can also be used to convert two wheel drive 01 10 HD trucks to four wheel drive with the addition of a transger case and related components.

How to Use the ChartSelecting the components you need for an ORU Solid AxleConversion is as easy as matching colors. Follow these simple steps:1) Use the Tire/Spring Size Chart (below) to determine your

proper spring height. Note the corresponding color.

2) Choose the chart on the right that matches your desired axlesetup (Ford, or ORU).

3) Find the column heading in the chart that matches your fuel(gas or diesel), axle type and spring specifications.(standard or 6” longer).

4) You can select a complete ORU Solid Axle Kit, or any individualcomponents by matching the color from the Tire Spring Size Chart.

Other Parts Required to Complete the Conversion:● Front axle assembly with 32 1/2” spring pad width● Front leaft springs (88-91 Chevy Blazer or Suburban type

or ORU premium ride springs).● Crossover Steering Kit● Front & Rear Shocks● Brake Lines● Front U-Bolts● Steering box with “4-blind” sector shaft.

Installation Notes:● Inspect the contents of the kit and read the entire instructions

before proceeding.● We recommend this installation be pereformed by a qualified

technician.● Torque all hardware to factory specifications.● We recommend using red Loctite on all bolts.● When removing wheels, support vehicle with jack stands.● Use only factory approved fluids.● Installation of this kit will move the center of the front axle 1

for ward.● This kit adds 3” of lift to the advertised height of the leaf springs.● Welding and cutting required. (Use caution during welding

operations to prevent damage to vehicle electronic components).● This kit has no provisions for anti-lock brakes, and want to retain

them, you must purchase an ORU Dana 60 axle.(With ABS upgrade).

● You must retain the factory 4WD electronic actuator and wiring toprevent unnecessary activation of the dash lights and for thefactory transfer case to function properly (secure the unit underthe hood in a suitable location).

Cranking up the factory torsion bars and cogs overloads the adjustersand limits suspension travel, creating a harsher ride and accelerating front-end wear. REVERSE SHACKLE KITSORU’s Shackle Reversal Kit for 1986-1997 Ford F-350 relocates thefront spring shackles to the rear of the springs. This allows thespring to move freely as it articulates without the opposing force en-countered with the shackle located in the factory position at thefront of the spring. DEFENDER ROOF RACKSDefender roof racks are made from 16-gauge, fully welded, 1” round steel tubingfinished in a black textured powdercoat. The aerodynamic design lends itself wellto todays vehicle designs. Welded light tabs and integrated flooring round out theDefender package. Applicaitons are available for most popular trucks and SUV’s.

Defender offers two different styles of roof racks, One Piece Welded and a Bolt to-gether. Both racks offer the same weight capacity, style and design, the reason forthe bolt together design was for ease of shipping. The Bolt Together rack is able toship UPS, as the One Piece in most cases needs to be shiped by truck freight.

We have designed a couple of speciality packages for customer with Vans, thesepackages are available in either a 9 ft. or 12 ft. lengths (can be modified by in-stalling additional center sections) and come complete with the rack and mount-ing kits.

ADJUST-A-MOUNTS (AM)The Adjust-a-mount bracket is designed for vehicle without rain gutters ormounting on any other flat surface.
