The Government of Jamaica (GOJ), represented by the Public Sector Transformation & Modernisation Division of the Offi ce of the Cabinet (the PSTMD), is seeking two (2) System Support Offi cers to provide expertise to assist the Strategic Human Resource Management Department (SHRMD) of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service with the implementation of a Human Capital Management Enterprise System (HCMES) solution that includes Payroll across the Government.
Each Consultant will be required to, among other things:
• Respond and direct the system support requests from respective Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as per issues logged;
• Create and Change HCMES users and direct MDA confi gurations as per requests from MDAs;
• Managing and maintaining the systems and equipment requirements necessary for the GOJ HCMES System Support
function to operate eff ectively;• Execute the operational support processes, procedures and
working practices for the GOJ HCMES System Support function within GOJ;
• Execute the operational processes, procedures and working practices between the GOJ HCMES System Support function and the software vendors’ support organization.
The Technical Expertise required for these posts includes, among others:
• At least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualifi cation, with at least three (3) years’ experience in the implementation of computer applications, computer
application security or supporting HR and Payroll systems• Application support and troubleshooting of application and
system related issues on/off site. • The System Support Offi cers are expected to have a strong
understanding of and experience in supporting software applications.• Capacity to solve complex problems in a short period of time• Knowledge of technology and systems that enables automation.
