The Changing Landscape of Logistics Industry

By Mr. Kelvin KO

Abstract:

The logistics industry, as the backbone of international trade, has evolved to change the general perception of warehousing operations and trucking. Customers are no longer satisfied by simply moving cargo from one point to another, but look for additional visibility, reliability and efficiency in every single step during the transportation. To adapt to the fast-moving market development, industry players are urged to go extra miles to shape excellent customer experience. Deployment of technology, know-how professionalism and ‘can-do’ service attitude map out the road to success.

Kelvin Ko has been the Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Pacific Services Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways that operates the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport, since July 2014. He is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the company’s long-term business strategy.

Mr Ko, previously Chief Operating Officer of CPSL, was also one of the core members in the early stage of planning and design of the cargo terminal.

With 20 years of solid experience in the air cargo industry, Mr Ko held senior management positions of various local and regional operations in DHL, Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited and SF Express.
