Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club won the prestigious Grand Aurora Award for Residential Community of the Year Masterplan in August from the Southeast Builders Conference, comprised of 12 states. The honor commemorates the 27th time Miromar Lakes has been recognized as the No. 1 community in local, regional and national awards programs.

The Grand Aurora Award is determined by a panel of esteemed industry judges who considered Miromar Lakes’ excellence and creativity in overall community design and planning, lifestyle, resort-inspired amenities and its picturesque setting within 700 acres of freshwater lake and three miles of white-sand beaches.

Arthur Rutenberg Introduces New Floorplans, Models in Villa d’Este

Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Lyons Housing’s new designer-furnished model in Cortona, features classic tones of navy blue and cream paired with brushed gold and silver accents throughout.

“I’ve worked with residents for years and they have an expectation of the sophistication they want,” says interior designer Angie Thomas. “The model’s design is timeless with a little bit of drama and a fresh look.”

An interior designer for Arthur Rutenberg, Thomas used furniture, accessories and accents from MP Interiors at Miromar Design Center. The three-bedroom, three and one-half bathroom Waterfront Villa Sedona II model also features beamed and vaulted ceilings, sun-bleached wood-look tile flooring, and a white wave wall

in the great room’s TV niche. Located along our 700-acre freshwater lake, the single-family home directs its views and large outdoor areas to the water and has a boat dock.

The Sedona II also offers a den, an open great room floorplan and en suite guest rooms with private full bathrooms. It has

2,729 square feet under air and spans 4,150 total square feet including a three-car garage, covered entry and lanai. Covered outdoor spaces offer a summer kitchen, sitting and dining areas. The home builder has introduced three floorplans and will begin construction in October

Thanksgiving, November 22: Turkey and all the trimmings are offered

buffet-style in two elegant venues: The Beach

Clubhouse from 2 to 7 p.m. and for golf members at

the Golf Clubhouse with seatings at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Or entertain at home by

preordering (by November 15) fully prepared dinners for 10, 15 and 20 guests.

Hanukkah, December 2: The Festival of Lights begins with a buffet dinner and the

lighting of the Menorah from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the

Beach Clubhouse.

Tree Lighting, December 5: We light up

the Beach Grill with music and dinner poolside from 5 to 8 p.m. Expect a visit from Santa from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Holiday Magic Boat Parade & Dinner, December 7: The parade at the

Clubhouse beach begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner

served buffet-style from 6 to 9 p.m. and Cool Wave

DJ Rich Franz playing holiday hits from 5:30 to

9:30 p.m.

Christmas Eve & Day Dinner Buffets,

December 24 & 25: Spend your time with friends and family instead of in

the kitchen. The Beach Clubhouse serves Christmas Eve dinner from

5 to 8 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 3 to 6 p.m.

New Year’s Eve, December 31: We’re going to party like it’s 2019! Ring in the new year with our exciting

Miromar Lakes Golf Globetrotting

Miromar Lakes golf members played historic Scottish seaside links courses … think the Old Course at St. Andrews and Carnoustie … during a summer adventure across the pond. Participants were treated to a rare private tour of the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, attended the British Senior Open and enjoyed the sites of Edinburgh during the weeklong trip.

Golf’s Birthplace


Ken McMaster has been promoted to General Manager and Director of Golf for Miromar Lakes Golf Club. In this new position, Ken will have full responsibility over operations, administration and memberships for the golf club.

“Ken has been a tremendous asset to our team since 2007,” said Margaret Antonier, CEO and president of Miromar Development Corp.

Ken’s professionalism and dedication have been recognized by golf members and industry peers. He has been instrumental in enhancing the membership golf experience and oversaw the remastering of Miromar Lakes’ Signature Championship golf course in 2017. Most recently Ken was honored as the PGA Professional of the Year by the Southwest Chapter of the PGA.

MIROMAR LAKES GOLF CLUB celebrates fall on Saturday, November 10 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Golf Clubhouse. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are served from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by dinner.

And that calls for a celebration! Reunite with your court-mates and make new friends during the annual fall tennis celebration

TIME FOR TENNIS Get ready for another great season of league play, instruction and some friendly competition – all leading up to club

championships in December. Clinics resume October 1 and are offered every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Intermediate players take the courts from 9 to 10 a.m.; beginners/advanced beginners at 11 a.m.

Round robin play returns October 6. Men of all skill levels compete in this friendly format every Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m.; mixed doubles teams on Saturdays at 9 a.m.

MOVE IT! Something new to ‘love’ on the courts: Cardio Tennis, every Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., encourages participants to move and groove to the music while returning balls.

MIX IT! Tennis mixers are equal parts play and party – courtside socialization after matches. Director of Tennis Frank Carleton encourages participants to dress the part, unless your lederhosen or mermaid tail get in the way.

Oktoberfest: October 18, 4 to 6 p.m. German food, music and beer.

Halloween: October 27, 9 to 11 a.m. No tricks, just treats. Wear a costume.

Twilight Time: November 8, 4 to 6 p.m. Tennis followed by wine, cheese and beer.

Thanksgiving: November 17, 9 to 11 a.m. Snacks and beverages served after the last match of the morning.

Holiday December 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It wouldn’t be a tennis party Tennis Party: without time on the courts first.

Holiday December 22, 9 to 11 a.m. ‘Tis the season. Holiday snacks and Celebration: drinks served during this post-game party. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Fall play is capped off with club championships in December. Cheer on your favorite doubles team.
