•Often Christ-Followers live in spiritual poverty, when just below the surface are untold riches.•This is the Holy Spirit resident in us.

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.

Romans 8:11a (NLT)

How do I live into my unique, specific

God-sized mission?

1. Hear it!

But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The LORD never appeared to you’?” Then the LORD asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied.

Throw it down on the ground,” the LORD told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. Then the LORD told him, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So Moses reached out and grabbed it,

and it turned back into a shepherd’s staff in his hand. “Perform this sign,” the LORD told him. “Then they will believe that the LORD, the God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—really has appeared to you.”

Exodus 4:1-5 (NLT)

2. Mark it!

The next morning Jacob got up very early. He took the stone he had rested his head against, and he set it upright as a memorial pillar. Then he poured olive oil over it. He named that place Bethel (which means “house of God”), although it was previously called Luz.

Genesis 28:18-19

It is the story of where every great idea begins. Where those with endless vision and an equal amount of audaciousness believed that they had the power to do more time and time again.

3. Refine it!

During the night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two servant wives, and his eleven sons and crossed the Jabbok River with them. After taking them to the other side, he sent over all his possessions.

This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled withhim until the dawn began to break.
