This year, the Norway pavilion features companies from dif-ferent spectrums of the oil and gas industry. Housing a total of ten exhib-itors, namely DNV GL, T.D. Williamson, Autronica Fire and Security, Bandak-Mul-

tifibre, Interwell, Jotun, Kongs-berg Oil and Gas Technologies,

Uniteam, Wellbarrier and Wilhelmsen Ship Mana gem ent, th e Norwegians are set to attract visitors.

With rig sizes increasing and evacuation heights exceeding what is possible with enclosed davits and lifeboats, chute-based evacuation solutions have become even more important.

To meet these requirements, marine and fire safety equipment and service provider VIKING Life-Saving Equipment developed a new evacuation chute system, recently tested in the North Sea aboard a Maersk Oil rig, but destined for a Noble Drilling jackup rig being constructed in Singapore.

“This newly developed evacuation chute system at 81m height and high visibility yellow colour range of lifejacket and suit is our highlight at this year’s OGA exhibition,” said Benny Carlsen, VP region NE, VIKING.

Appearing at the stand, too, are VIKING’s PS4003 ETSO and SOLAS-approved aviation suit and lifejacket, the High Visibility Yellow range of suits and lifejackets including the PS2004 SOLAS approved neoprene immersion suit and the PV9520 solid lifejacket. Visit VIKING in Hall 9, Booth 9080C

Software solutions to enhance oilfield performanceKongsberg Oil and Gas Technologies (KONGSBERG) is at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre to demon-strate its range of drilling and production management software solutions, services and subsea infrastructure that cover the entire lifecycle of oilfields, as well as enhance performance.

This follows the firm’s award by Saipem for the delivery of subsea structures for the gas export pipeline of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG project. Kongsberg will do the engi-neering, procurement and con-struction and delivery, while Saipem will do the installation.

“We are delighted to win this contract,” said Pål Helsing, president of Kongsberg Oil and Gas. “We are really looking forward to work with Saipem on this project. The contract is important for us in the Australian market and it shows that our solutions fit very well into the conditions and challenges offshore Australia,” Helsing added.

The construction is being undertaken in Henderson, Western Australia. Scope of work involves Adjustable Pipe Support structures (APS) to the pipeline. The APS will support the pipeline and bring it to the required height and orientation at the end termination.

Moreover, new fea-tures have been added to KONGSBERG’s LedaFlow transient multiphase flow simulator. Major functionality changes in the version 1.7 of LedaFlow include non-Newto-nian fluids, wax appearance temperature, 3D visualization and flowline profile tools.

Break the limits of gas detection with Dräger Area Monitoring device, X-zone® 5500 in combination with Dräger portable gas detectors. It can be used for the measurement

of up to six gases with the option to secure larger areas by connecting up to 25 units to form a wireless alarm chain between units. The triggering device transfers

the alarm to all other devices in the chain.

Data can also be accessed wirelessly over the GSM network and internet with its additional module, Dräger X-zone® Com. One X-zone Com is now enough

to forward the data from up to 15 devices directly to the safety officer. According to Draeger, no precious time will be lost in an emergency. Visit Draeger in Hall 9, Booth 9093

June 2 Show Daily

Specializing in project man-agement, engineering and construction, this week Technip is presenting its range of technologies to meet energy challenges from the deepest subsea oil and gas develop-ments to the largest and most complex offshore and onshore infrastructures.

“Our experts are on hand to greet visitors who can view sample of our flexible pipe and umbilical, as well as scale mod-els of the Petronas FLNG1 and the Shell Malikai tension leg plat-

form structure in Malaysia,” commented Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad, senior vice president, Technip Malaysia.

The company has indus-trial assets and operates a fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installation and subsea construction. With Kuala Lumpur as its regional headquarters, Technip in the Asia Pacific provides techno-logical leadership in deepwater developments and innovations, such as floating liquefied nat-ural (FLNG) gas facilities and

tension leg platforms. Currently, the firm is a pro-

gram management consultant for the Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project and is executing two large sub-sea contracts in Bangka and Jangkrik in Indonesia.

US keen on MalaysiaInterest in the Malaysian oil and gas market continues to grow amongst American equipment and technology suppliers is marked by the fact the USA pavilion sold out faster for OGA 2015 than ever before said pavilion organizer, David Rudel from Imex Management.

The USA pavilion features 15 compa-

nies for the region’s oil and gas sector. Furthermore, the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia has a lounge and meeting area within the USA pavilion providing assistance to both American exhibitors and show visitors. Visit the USA pavilion in Halls 4 and 5

This year the British pavilion will be hosting Pimm’s O’Clock from 3.30 - 4.30pm in the UK Lounge.

Organized by the Energy Industries Council (EIC), 26 companies are exhibiting such as BATT Cables, BEKA Associates, Bodycote Surface Technology, Colson X-Cel, Crowcon Detection Instruments, Darchem Thermal Protection, European Safety Systems (E2S),

Paladon Systems, Permasense, Promat BD, Raytec, and more.

EIC said the OGA series continues to be an important showcase for globally recognized UK supply chain companies. Visit the UK pavilion in Hall 5

HAWK unveils fiber optic monitoring systemHawk Measurement Systems (HAWK) is introducing its fiber optic monitoring system and level measurement products, in-cluding guided radars, magnetic level gauge (MLG), acoustic wave and ultrasonic at OGA 2015.

According to HAWK, its range of guided radar products is ideal for interface, inverse interface and liquid level measurement to a distance of 1.5m. This technol-ogy is not affected by pressure, temperature, viscosity, vacuum, foam, dust, changes in dielec-tric constant or coating of the probe. In particular, the Centurion Dual

Pulse radar is best for:• Coal seam gas;• Liquefied natural gas (LNG);• Upstream: wells, separators,

water treatment;• Gathering: interconnecting

pipelines, compressor stations; and

• Downstream: LNG compres-sor trains.
