A trip to Mordovia: language and culture of Mordovian people
Location: Saransk, OgarevMordovia State University.

Goals:to create a cohesive image of Mordovian language and culture; to show the place of Mordovian people
among other peoples of the world and Finno-Ugric cultural community. The participants will experience a deep
immersion into a multicultural environment.
Participants: everyone willing to find out more about languages of Moksha and Erzya and their unique
cultures.
Key terms: Mordovian people, Moksha, Erzya, Finno-Ugric peoples, ethnos, history, traditions, religious
faiths, modern cultural environment.
