DIVISION III PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Cameron Varga, CHCA:The senior right-handed pitcher was the Gatorade Ohio player of theyear and the Division III state coaches’ association player of theyear. He was 10-0 with eight shutouts, 141 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA.
DIVISION III COACH OF THE YEARJeff Keith, CHCA: He led CHCA to the state final inhis first season as Eagles head coach. The Eaglesfinished 29-3.
DIVISION III FIRST TEAMBlake Swanger, CHCA: The seniorpitcher was 7-1 with 77 strikeoutsand three shutouts in 661⁄3 innings.He had a 1.37 ERA.
Kyle Davis, CHCA: The seniorcatcher hit .480 with 47 hits, 40 RBI,10 doubles, six triples and four homeruns. He was first-team all-state.
Doug Compton, Summit Country
Day: The senior pitcher/outfielderhit .500 with 46 hits, 47 runs, 23 RBI,15 doubles and three home runs. Hewas first-team all-state.
Eric Terry, Summit Country Day:The junior catcher hit .359 with 33hits, 17 runs, 31 RBI and 15 doubles.
Kyle Bowling, Reading: The juniorsecond baseman hit .457 with 43 hits,23 runs, 27 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
Brendan Woodruff, Mariemont:The senior pitcher hit .481 with 39hits, 22 hits, 15 RBI, six doubles, twohome runs and 15 stolen bases.
Zach Santoro, Clinton-Massie: Thejunior hit .523 with 40 RBI.
Ryan Collett, Clinton-Massie: Thejunior pitcher had a 0.92 ERA with48 strikeouts in 36 innings. He hit.364 with four home runs and 35RBI.
Nick Tipton, Clermont Northeast-
ern: The senior pitcher had 51strikeouts in 47 innings. He hit .373.
Kyle Campbell, Blanchester: Thesenior pitcher/third baseman was5-2 with 56 strikeouts in 521⁄3 innings.He hit 3.86 with 28 runs, six doublesand 10 stolen bases.
Alex Holderbach, Badin: The ju-nior shortstop hit .489 with 44 hits,28 runs, 39 RBI and 11 doubles. Hewas first-team all-state.
