High performance: The Verdicorp range of blowers have frictionless operation, and because of

their unique motor and power electronics technology, and infinitely vary their

capacity to ensure constant and accurate operation. The systems can deliver

the exact amount of oxygen to the waste water, ensuring accurate control of

your process

Instead of turning machines on an off, the Verdicorp tracks you oxygen de-

mand and continues to provide exactly what you need at all times

With its “Smart Control” and its integrated VFD, it allows the system to slow

down as the demand reduces and this ensures the blower operates at its most

optimal point during the entire process, thus optimizing the overall systems

efficiency

Sustainable Energy Efficiency: Installing energy efficient equipment is very important to a waste water plant, however retaining that efficiency in a sustainable way is even more important. Conventional oil lubricated systems drop off in efficiency over time as parts start to wear, but when there is no friction, then efficiencies can be maintained over the entire life of the system Verdicorp’s world proven oil-free magnetic bearing, soft-starting, synchro-nous PM motor, and integrated power electronics redefines reliability and the system continues to maintain its high efficiency year after year

Outstanding energy efficiency reduces operating budgets and helps shrink

facilities carbon footprint thanks to annual energy usage 30% less than

screws and 50% less than reciprocating blowers.

Verdicorp’s technology: The Verdicorp blower is a single stage, variable speed blower, incorpo-rating inbuilt VFD, digital magnetic bearings, soft starter, EMI filter and digital intelligent controls

Verdicorp’s turbo blower: The Verdicorp range of blower systems are based on the well proven

Turbocor oil-free compressor technology. There are now over 30,000

machines operating throughout the world, so the products are based

on a well proven, highly efficient platform of technologies

Verdicorp produce a range of blowers ranging from a gross output of

1,000scfm up to 6,000scfm and because of their modularity, they can

be safely coupled together to operate to much larger capacities

Oil-free Blowers for the Waste Water Indus-try

Developer of Sustainable, Environmentally Friendly Technolo-

Magnetic bearings and bearing sensors:

Composed of both permanent and electromagnets with

unique, patented design for compact size and reliable

high performance

Enables precisely controlled frictionless blower shaft

rotation on a levitated magnetic cushion

Bearing sensors, located at each magnetic bearing, feed

back rotor orbits and thrust/axial information in real time

to bearing controller

Permanent-magnet synchronous motor:

Powered by PWM (pulse width modulated) voltage

supply

High-speed variable frequency operation affords high

efficiency, compactness and soft start benefits

Touchdown Bearings:

Radially and axially located bearings support the rotor

when the blower shaft is not energized

Prevents contact between rotor and other metallic sur-

faces

Shaft and impeller:

Only one major moving blower component

Acts as rotor for permanent-magnet synchronous motor

Delivering proven technolo-

Variable Frequency Drive:

IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) is an inverter that

converts DC voltage into an adjustable three-phase AC voltage

Signals from the motor/bearing controller determine the in-

verter output frequency, voltage and phase, thereby regulat-

ing the motor speed

Converts mechanical energy back into electrical energy. In the

case of Power failure, this patented control scheme allows for

a normal de-levitation and shutdown

Soft start module:

Significantly reduces high in-rush current at startup, providing

advantages to line power systems and reducing thermal stress

at the stator

The startup in-rush current is less than 2 amps vs. typically up

to 1,000 amps experienced by traditional compressors in the

same capacity range—truly defining soft starts

Electronic package:

Rectifiers convert AC line power into a high voltage DC power

source

Capacitors for smoothing DC power supply

DC-DC Converters for supply and isolation of high and low

voltage DC voltages

Network connections for external control and monitoring

PWM amplifier for power to electromagnetic bearings

Waste Water Blowers:

Waste Water Blower Modules: These systems can be configured in either stand alone, mobile or modular

configurations. Being factory built, these units are fully constructed and

tested in a controlled environment, thus increasing quality and system

integrity, while at the same time being manufactured at the lowest possible

cost.

Awards: This technology platform has been recognized throughout the world as leading edge, and has led to some very significant awards being presented, these being the 2003 ASHRAE (AHR) Innovation Award for Energy, the 2004 EPA’s “Climate Protection Award”, the 2005 Natural Resource Canada Innovation Award for Energy, the 2007, Frost and Sullivan Award for Inno-vation, the 2008 Institute of Refrigeration – J&E Hall Gold Medal (London) for “Innovation, Application and Advancement of Refrigeration", and the 2009 James Harrison Medal, the most distinguished award presented by the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, and Heating (AIRAH).

Waste water blowers: Verdicorp now offers a range of high-efficient oil-free waste water blower ranging from 1,ooo scfm through to 6,ooo scfm. These blowers offer exceptional turndown capability, and with their intelligent control, variable speed and variable diffuser, are de-signed to work at their most optimal efficiency point at all times. The easy to control, digital electronics are “the brain inside” which makes the Verdicorp blower totally self correcting while enabling sophisticated self-diagnostics, monitoring and control. This intelligence is easy to tap with various control outputs.

Easy to maintain: No oil service needs, no wear and tear on mechanical compo-nents, simple preventative maintenance.

Life cycle costs: Purchasing waste water blowers is the cheapest part of owning a blower, running it and maintaining it is when the real costs kick in. It is important to look at ever increasing energy costs over the life of the machine as well as the cost of operations and maintenance Verdicorp understand this, and had this in mind when it developed its range of highly efficient turbo blowers. The Verdicorp team have a history of developing game changing technologies, and it sees that first cost is important if it is to compete in the market, however it is equally important to consider the impact that the electrical bill will have on the operating cost over the life of the machine. Verdicorp can hold its head up high when it presents its product to the market, as it knows that its world proven technologies have led the industry for reliability, efficiency and performance
