In Meade district, Tyler connty, the Carter Oil company has com¬ pleted its No 4 on the John Ank- rom farm, and has a show for a small pumper in the Big Injnn sand. The showing at this well is something of a disappointment. No. 3 on this farm, started at 240 barrels a day, and did not drop be¬ low 100 barrels a day for several weeks; It was qoite natural to ex¬ pect that No 4 would be a good producer. In the Graysville district, Mon¬ roe county, the Fisher Oil company has drilled down an old Keener sand well on the Abe Mann farm, to the Berea sand, and has a show for a 5 barrel pumper in that forma¬ tion. This is a new departure for this locality and may be the in¬ centive for making a more thor¬ ough search of production in this formation, The fact that the first test is small, does not follow that better producers cannot be found in the grit. Although he had long been too feeble to go to church, his opinions still found their way to the people. "That teacher from Hoston is g6ing to play every Sunday while Annie Trumbull is off takings vacation." The dcacon raised his stick and hi9 quavering voice at the same time.
