Empowering Visionary PotentialThe mission of the Foundation is to raise,receive, manage, and distribute donationsfrom private sources for the enrichment ofeducational programs for students andeducators of the Owensboro Public Schools.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit,tax-exempt private corporation recognized asthe official fund-raising agency by theOwensboro Board of Education. OwensboroIndependent Schools, Foundation ForExcellence provides avenues of philanthropyfor current students and alumni of OPS toenhance, embellish or otherwise supplementschool activities including theater, the arts,technology and athletics that wouldotherwise go unfunded.

THROUGH A GRANT PROVIDED BY THE FOUNDATION FOREXCELLENCE, NEWTON PARRISH PURCHASED EBOOKSAND TRAINING TO ASSIST STUDENTS, PARENTS, ANDSTAFF. THIS PILOT PROJECT WORKED WITH THE OPSTECHNOLOGY DEPT. IN THE POSSIBILITY OFIMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM DISTRICT-WIDE.
