The Art Fest was a great event with a record number of artists. The Chalk Walk was quite a sight with works of art that brought the street alive with color! The winners will be entered on our website www.okeechobeemainstreet.org shortly. The Paws In The Park event winners were Athena Cole, a 3-legged Pit for Best Kisser and Oreo Ford a Shih Tzu puppy for Best Dressed. Stuart Petco brought goody bags, and set up drawings for a basket and a treat jar for lucky winners Tiffany Noel and Natalie Christmas. Our inaugural Battle of the Bands was a hit with music from Southern Gospel to Thrash Metal. The group Venomous Fiction came out victorious! We want to say thanks to our fabulous judges for the art, music and pet show. As always a warm thank you to our Art Fest Sponsors. Thanks as well to Mid Florida Portable Toilets, Brown Cow Sweetery and Nutmeg’s.

The Great “Chair-ity” Event Greetings from your local dental offices of Okeechobee. Get excited, because this year we have created a fantastic event for our patient body

to participate in with us. Family Dentistry of Okeechobee, that’s Dr.Davis, Dr.Laskey and Dr.McClane, has decided to host their first ever charity event with the participation of other local dental offices. Tenniswood and Associ-ates, Wemmer Orthodontics, and Everglades Pediatric Dentistry will also be joining in the fun! All participating offices have chosen a local charity and they will be re-purposing an old chair in their honor for our office wide raffle. Chairs will be held for raffle and display Monday February 24 through Friday March 7th in each local of-fice. Our grand finale will be held in the Speckled Perch/Cow Town festival, Saturday March 8th, where each chair will be displayed together. This will be your final chance to purchase raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will be $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. The dental office raising the most money will win the jackpot and all raffle proceeds will be donated to their chosen local charity. All dental offices will also choose raffle winners to take home their wildly decorated chairs. Visit your local dental office to-day for more information on “The Great Chair-ity Event” and their chair decorating progress. Please join in our event and help cheer on your favorite dentist and charity!
