Social studies educators are the linchpin keeping our country safe for democracy and ensuring our students can bear the torch of freedom well into the future! As social studies educators, we understand the significance of World War I in transforming the United States a hundred years ago. Our conference theme honors the American military’s contributions to our freedom, safety, and liberty.

Academic Standards for the Social Studies and have practical application

for the classroom, including social studies content, process skills, and

social studies literacy
