Track 3 Tidbits

Here are our highlights: Theme: Oviparous AnimalsLetterland: Word FamiliesKindergarten Objectives for 3 rd Quarter: ELA (English, Language Arts) Ask your child what some “oviparous” animals are? Ask what animals are not oviparous? We learned about these animals this week and reviewed the 3rd quarter objectives. We are moving in to 4th quarter and preparing for first grade~!Writing: This week we wrote some independent writing pieces we will share with you at conferences. The children are writing “how to”, informational, and opinion pieces independently. We are working on capital letters, punctuation, spelling popcorn words, and sounding out words. Math: The children worked on more subtraction up to 10. We are learning how to write our own story problem, draw a picture and write the equation. Science: This week we learned about the animals that hatch from eggs.
